At We Lit Academy, we believe reading should be an experience that sparks curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Children learn best when literacy connects to their interests, imagination, culture, and the world around them.

Through books, music, movement, creativity, and hands-on experiences, we transform reading from a task into an adventure—helping children build skills while discovering the joy of stories.

Every child deserves access to books and literacy experiences that help them grow, feel represented, and see what is possible.

Too many children face barriers to becoming confident readers, including limited access to books and stories that reflect their identities and experiences. We Lit Academy exists to help change that by bringing diverse books, engaging programs, and community-centered literacy experiences to children and families.

From early literacy support and reading enrichment to camps, virtual learning, community events, and mobile bookstore experiences, we create opportunities that help children develop a lifelong love of reading.

We believe literacy should be something children look forward to—not something they simply have to do.

That’s why we create books, programs, and experiences that make reading feel exciting, creative, and connected to who children are. By combining literacy, culture, music, movement, and storytelling, we help children build skills while discovering that reading can be truly lit.

We use our programs, books, activities, and literacy experiences to create personalized learning journeys that meet readers where they are—building on their interests, needs, strengths, and goals.

THE WE LIT PASSPORT™
Every reader is on a journey. We make
every step count.
Across We Lit Academy programs and experiences, children can track their journey with the Lit Passport™, collect Brag Tags that celebrate achievements and experiences, and earn Lit Bucks that introduce saving, spending, goal-setting, and financial decision-making.
One journey. New experiences. Real accomplishments. Rewards that keep kids motivated to learn.
